Hewitt Family Wills
JANE HEWITT 1771
At Carlisle November 29th 1771
On this day appeared personally WILLIAM HEWITT of Cargo,yeoman,carpenter, and alleged that JANE HEWITT formally ROBINSON his late wife deceased died intestate without making any will,so far as he doth know,that he was the said lawful husband of the said deceased wherefor he prayed letters of administration of all and singular goods and chattels and credits of the said deceased to be committed and granted to him the said WILLIAM HEWITT and giving good and sufficient security in that behalf,part of this last sentence crossed out.
EDWARD WILLIAM HEWITT was sworn in due form of law to the truth and promises and to faithfully administer and so forth.
