GEORGE HEWITT 1763

January the 14th 1763.I GEORGE HEWITT of Rockcliffe in the Parish of Rockcliffe in the County of Cumberland,Yeoman, being sick of body but of perfect mind and memory,Praisded be to God for the same and I do ordain this my last will and testament in manner and form following and my body to be decently buried at the discretion of my executors herein after named.First of all I give and bequeath to my loving son THOMAS HEWITT my sole executor of all my goods and chattels moveable and unmoveable whatsoever.And I do give and empower EDMOND HODGSON of Rockcliffe and THOMAS HAYS of Eterby and JOHN MOOR of Orton to be gardeus in trust to my son THOMAS HEWITT till he attains the age of twenty one years to sell and dispose of my personal estate as they think proper top pay my debts and funeral expenses,and all other wills made by me formerly made to be void and of no effect and their to be in full force or virtue.As witness I have set my hand and seal the day of the year first above written.GEORGE HEWITT
